March 2010
Grandview is looking fantastic
now, with two magnificent houses built and landscaped
and the recreational facilities complete. They certainly
proved a vivid statement of the standard that is able
to be achieved at Grandview. As more houses of this
quality are built it is apparent that the original object
of creating the community as one of the best places
to live in Taupo will be achieved. Two more houses are
in planning at the moment so good progress is being
made in this area.
The tennis court was completed some
time ago and it is a very high standard artificial all
weather surface. A few tight matches have already taken
place there. The tennis pavilion is finished also and
in use. It is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy an
after match drink overlooking the magnificence of Taupo
and the Lake.
The walking track is well established
and is a real feature of the community. It can be used
for a casual stroll while enjoying the views and the
peace of the valley below, or it provides an excellent
fitness workout for those wanting to stretch their muscles
and run the track. It provides two completely different
experiences in doing it either clockwise or anticlockwise.
All of the golf facilities are also
in place. These comprise a driving net area, a chipping
range into the lagoon using floating balls and a putting
green near the tennis pavilion. A driving range is planned
to be established in a unique location in Stage 3.
At the December Board Meeting of
the Grandview Residents' Association, the board resolved
to accept handover of the common facilities, the road
lot and the open space lot from Scenic Ventures Limited
to the Grandview Residents' Association Incorporated.
Documents are currently signed for transfer of titles
and this is expected to be completed next week.
The 2010 AGM is scheduled
for Saturday 27 March at 1.00pm at the Grandview Tennis
Pavilion. All owners are welcome to attend and bring
your tennis racket and favourite golf club.
A marketing campaign is currently
underway for the remaining Stage 1 sections. This is
being conducted by Bayleys with Mark Harrison leading
the team.
All sites have panoramic views and
it is well worth taking a drive there to just experience
the dramatic vistas from these sections.
The entry gate is now open during
the day and anyone interested in taking a look at Grandview
is welcome to call Mark Harrison on
027 279 3093 and he will be delighted to show you around
and provide all information you need on the sites and
the facilites of Grandview.
The next stages of Grandview are
now being planned and some exciting ideas are developing.
Grandview Country Estate can only continue to reinforce
its position as the most desirable option for section
purchasers in Taupo.
